My husband finished updating our website, and now our new site is live! I'm so excited!

Diane's Natural CoCo Mint Lip Balm

It is fun making lip balm! I made quite a few today and am loving the final product.

It is amazing how different lip balms can be. Lip balm made from mineral oil, which is a by-product of the petroleum industry, actually leaves your lips drier and more prone to chapping. You have to apply it over and over and over and over. Lip balm made with quality plant oils nourishes your lips and leaves them well moisturized. My lip balm is made from cocoa butter, beeswax, sweet almond oil, jojoba oil, avocado oil and peppermint essential oil. These oils are wonderfully rich and hydrating. They replenish and hydrate dry, chapped lips. There are no preservatives, fillers or artificial ingredients in my lip balms.

I will never go back to mineral oil. Make the wise choice to change, your lips will thank you for switching to all natural lip balm.

My vision for this company began by reading a book called, "What's In This Stuff?" by Patricia Thomas. It proved to me the importance of getting harmful and dangerous chemicals out of my house and off my children's bodies. You don't need industrial strength cleaners to clean your home or skin. My goal is to bring back the bar, whatever happened to a good old bar of soap to clean your body? Why do we feel we need a mountain of bubbles to clean our skin? We don't need antibacterial soaps on our bodies.

If you have ever read the ingredients on the back of your shampoo bottle, your lotion or your lip balm, you will notice a large list of ingredients filled with words that are not easy to pronounce. These chemicals are not good for your bodies. Your skin is like a huge sponge that absorbs whatever you put on it. So those chemicals you are slathering onto your skin end up in your body. Our skin has its own "environment", when we use harsh cleaning products on it, we stip away its protective barriers and make it more vulnerable to dryness.

The base of all of my soaps are saponified vegetable oils, there are no animal products or chemicals. I use natural olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil and then even some exotic oils like jojoba oil and sweet almond oil. All of these oils are excellent at gently cleaning as well as conditioning and protecting your skin. I also add 100% essential oils, not synthetic fragrance oils that are created in a lab. There are no added fillers, emulsifiers or thickeners.

It's taken a while to build the website and get it looking right. Today I actually added our first product, calling it "Diane's Original Obsessively Natural Soap" or as I'm sure it will be shortened to, "Diane's Original".

Here is a picture of "Diane's Original Homemade Natural Soap". I was trying to give it an organic, natural look. I decided to go with a burlap sack for the background. Do you think that helps me achieve what I'm trying to do?
